Unique and valuable objects need professional shipment. We make sure your object will arrive safely. We do this by working with professional and trusted shipping companies and by packing the objects with utmost importance.
Our trusted shipping partner for all shipping is PostNL. After the order is confirmed, we ensure sending is done within one business day. Then, the regular delivery terms of PostNL do hold. During the checkout one can also choose for a different delivery time or options. Note that for shipping outside the EU it takes longer, and delivery times of 2-4 weeks are not uncommon. Please take in mind that Verkoulen Oriental & European Antiques has no influence on domestic customs times and matters.

Packaging
All objects are carefully packed, and the packaging is tailored based on the nature of the specific object that is sent. With the use of for example the ‘box in a box’ method, avoiding air in the packaging, styrofoam and self-adhesive bubble wrap we can happily say that we never have to deal with transport damages.
In each case we take detailed photographs of the objects before and when they are packed.
Import and export
Verkoulen Oriental and European Antiques provides the documentation required for export to the country of destination such as a CITES certificate, if necessary. Please take notice that the customer has his own responsibility for the import procedures and costs as well as other customs matters. These domestic matters can influence the delivery date depending on the rules of your country. We are always available for general advice and help.
Return policy
Verkoulen Oriental and European Antiques endeavors to deliver the most various, refined, and unique antique objects to the buyers. Nevertheless, within the EU-union every customer has 14 calendar days of reflection period. In the case of a return, the buyer should contact us before the end of the reflection period.
Here you can find a model form for dissolution / revocation, which had to be sent on time to us. The customer is responsible for carefully pack and return the package. Therefor there is a risk of damage and loss of the package. To prevent problems, we friendly oblige the returning customer to insure the sending for the full purchase price.
Buyer’s responsibility
We strive for good communication and joint efforts. In the case of lost or damaged packages co-operation of the buyer is required. In the unlikely case of a damaged item, clear pictures should be taken and the issue at hand should be described precisely. The buyer should contact us the first calendar day after delivery at latest. In addition, the buyer is responsible for contacting the relevant shipping partner and delivering the required documents according to their claim policy. If this policy is not complied and doubts exists, we cannot ensure handling your claim.
