This plate is decorated in beautiful deep underglaze blue, and dating from the Kangxi period. The centre of the plate is decorated with three type of flowers: peony, lotus and chrysanthemum flowers. The rim has a cracked ice design with kraak-style panels containing further flower spays. The reverse is decorated with precious objects around the rim, and a band of flames around the foot rim. The base has the mark Qi yu bao ding zhi zhen ('Precious as a treasured ding of rare jade') to the base.
Condition: Very good, minimal frittings.
